GYATK Organization Structure and Operations Network

GYATK’s set up its business structure is to deal with the Unique challenges of the Rarest of Rare Technological Proposition based on a Break-through New- concept in the highly Industrious Field of Prime-Movers. The Business needs high-end Engineering Expertise, Capital intensive specialized tools and facilities and the entire proposition is Time and cost intensive. GYATK’s strategy, which it has refined over time is to leverage the vast network of industrial units involved of the various functions of the prime-Mover industry, for the varied requirements of the RVCR project and business.

The organization structure is designed to be lean and deal specifically with the strategic and operational management requirements of its business. The operations part key to the business dealt directly are Product design and development methodology which forms the part of technology Knowhow and know why and I.P. R Management. The downstream operation of the entire process is out-sourced to contractual partners and this has enabled us to understand the various options available for streamlining and optimising the work flow. GYATK gained valuable experience and exposure of the industry’s capability and the seamlines in the value chain in different regions.

RVCR project and business is coordinated by Mr. Kamath, CEO of GYATK and KGYAT and he is the main liaison with the various experts dealing in various functions of the business and oversees the strategy and making the most important decisions in the planning and deployment of the Technical, promotional and business valorisation strategies.

  • The specialized needs for developing to deliverance of “Technological Know How” and “IP Rights” is carried out by a network of Professional ‘Subject Experts’, and Outsourced Service Providers who are engaged in contractual agreements on differing terms ranging from success fee to pre and post payment arrangements.
  • The supply/Value chain partners are spread-out globally and the model is to Pool Value from multiple external sources and minimise Capital investments and inhouse operations costs. The network is a flexible structure of Interest group to ensure that RVCR Technology serves its Purpose.
  • This structure ensures mobility and reduce carbon foot print of the project operations, the knowhow is maintained in soft-form and the hardware is stowed and worked at either clients site or hired premises of partners providing systems integration support.

Mr Kamath’s abilities in Subjects of Engineering; Scientific and Mathematical knowledge and aptitude to devise solutions to tedious unresolved design puzzles and to learn business Logic to innovate on the Job to; evolve newer propositions, marks the relentless pursuit of leading GYATK from a garage based seemingly overambitious start-up, in India, in the niche business of Prime- Mover Design, (which remains within the domain of few western world companies, owing to demands of high end engineering resource and excellence), to an incumbent prodigy in the 21st century Commercial R&D business landscape, delivering technological products with features that remained elusive for a century despite pursued by almost all engine majors world-wide, namely VCR Multi -fuel Engines, summarises his capabilities.

The Initial Years Team

The Project was initiated in Cochin and GYATK’s technical team was brought together by Mr Kamath. The pool included experts in I.C. Engines mostly from his Marine Engineering fraternity and SME owners and them of Technical institution students as employees, trainees, interns for carrying out the activities of the project. The Next Phase of the Project Technical part was carried out in Pune in a Joint Development Program with an Indian Auto Major in a Contractual arrangement involving Technology Licensing. The team included experts from both parties where GYATK’s employed people for providing D&D services to the Licensee for executing the project.

The team Included the Licensee’s Engineers from various departments and utilized the internal facilities for the tool, hardware, software, equipment and materials processing etc. The Project was hosted at the Licensee’s with all activities within the premises of the Licensee partner. GYATK’s Technical Team constituted up-to 14 members at different points and mostly fresh talent post graduates from various institutions and colleges in Pune.

The Current Phase

GYATK is now in undertaking a phased transfer of its engine project to UK for various business and strategic considerations and the project is being undertaken by its subsidiary KGYAT UK (P) Ltd.

The organization structure’s leanness is further refined to deal specifically with the strategic and operational management requirements. With exposure and experience with industry players GYATK has optimized its business process outsourcing with a small efficient and robust Value chain partners performing key processes. GYATK has consolidated the spread of its downstream outsourced activities into a small and compact network of contractual partners and is now focused on developing a consortium model for the Upstream activities of the entire Product process chain.

The networked Architecture and lean Organised structure designed by GYATK is a dynamic multi-functional group capable to quickly adapting; scaling up; when required dismantling, shifting its base and re-erecting for executing and achieving the sequential mile-stone goals of the Projects. GYATK’s Operations management has further included the factor of fast setup of Parallel business operations team and establishing hierarchical tree structure for control of multiple projects in different market areas.
